We found a Lake!

This morning we had to say goodbye to our wonderfully relaxing stay at Srijana Farms, but were treated with a great breakfast before we hit the road for the day. Arrived at our first stop in Tansen making good time and no one too sick yet! It was fun to see the guesthouse hosts one more time, say goodbye to the mission hospital, and grab a few snacks for the road to Pokhara.

We started off again on a road that was better paved than we had anticipated but many, many turns to follow the flow of the foothills. We talked, slept, and bopped out to Spotifys “Songs that excite the white folk” playlist.

We stopped for a great lunch of chowmein on the road and some interesting new juices too, some peopled loved them and others couldn’t down it.

After our lunch we were back on the road for another two hours until we made it to Pokhara! We checked into Hotel Asia and took some much needed rest.

We all wanted to explore the town so Sinniah took us on a walk around the streets of Pokhara. The town is much more touristy than any other space we have been too, and attracts people from all around the world for its renowned trekking paths.

It was very cool to see and explore the city but our favorite part by far was the lake!! You can rent canoes and boats to see the foothills from a new perspective too at any time.

We ended our exploration with some good ‘ol pizza. Our two medical student friends from Tansen (Lizzy + Katie) were taking holiday in Pokhara so joined us for dinner too! We all thouroughly enjoyed having pizza again!

It was getting late but we’d heard rumors of a BaskinRobbins so had to see if they were true. We were all so satisfied with our ice cream and Sinniah had fun watching us order!

We ended our big day with a wonderful devotion from Sarah on how to see Gods movement in your life. Now rest before our first day at Green Pastures!
