The trip comes full circle at the Goshen House

After a long and bumpy drive to Kathmandu last night, the group enjoyed a slow morning of sleeping in. We are all pretty exhausted!

Reeja joined us at 9:30 and we headed to Higher Ground for coffee and some final shopping! While we were walking to coffee, we saw a familiar face speed past us on a motor bike…somehow Prof Sinniah was able to hitch a sweet ride!

Today, we also met Dale and Sushma, an engineer and a nurse who have worked in Nepal for many years. We had good conversations about their time in this country and heard their stories. We continue to hear the difficulties behind receiving visas, and they shared their experience running a recently sold coffee business in Nepal—called Top of the World Cafe. Nepal has not fully recovered from covid, so it was interesting to hear how they navigated a business through the pandemic. Very cool to meet them!

Spent the afternoon resting, playing games, and…going back to Higher Ground because why not?! Ella had to cool idea to go hang out there to make necklaces and bracelets! It was a relaxing afternoon!

Dinner at Kairos; very yum! We also ran into Alyssa Pokharel on our way back to the Goshen House!

As we are nearing the end of our time here, we also planned how to spend our final day in Nepal! Check back on the blog tomorrow to hear all about it 😉. Prayers as we embark on a long journey back to the U.S. tomorrow!
